I purchased two 4-gang US switches. One works fine. The other, if more than one button is pressed at the same time the device loads the default config and resets. This will happen if a finger or hand slides across the switch while trying to press a button. I believe I received a defective device.
Also, sometimes when it resets relay 1 goes into a loop cycling on and off.
Any suggestions?
It seems like you might have gotten a faulty 4-gang US switch. Although one switch functions properly, the second switch has a problem: if you press multiple buttons simultaneously, the device will reset to its original settings. This can occur frequently when a finger or hand moves over the switch while attempting to push a button. Furthermore, you pointed out that at times when it resets, relay 1 gets stuck in a loop, turning on and off repeatedly.
Verify the Wiring and Installation: Make sure the wiring is properly set up and there are no insecure connections or electrical faults that could lead to unpredictable behavior.
Check the switch for any evident signs of damage or defective components that may be responsible for the reset or looping problems.
Experiment with Various Loads or Locations: If feasible, consider testing the troublesome switch in an alternative location or with a different load to determine if the problem continues.
Get in touch with the seller or manufacturer to request a replacement or refund for the faulty device. List any troubleshooting methods you have already attempted.
