I just updated the firmware of my "LS-8P Addressable LED Strip Controller (Digital Microphone Built in)" to official WLED_0.15.0_ESP32.bin (sha256: 9943fb09592dab19ff5e482b1a03f284927ddf64af5d74fedac9eea23de5e408).
Now it doesn't boot any more. It seems dead. No relais click. No LEDs light up. The button does not do anything.
Did I use the wrong version? I'm pretty sure I came from WLED_0.14.4_ESP32.bin, so same architecture. I left the SR fork of WLED behind already a year ago.
If I need to flash using a serial adapter, which firmware version should I use? Does the controller have easily accessible pins for flashing?
i Just upgraded mine to 15.1 OTA
I had to use the .bin.gz file
WLED_0.15.1_ESP8266.bin.gz
It lost the Configuration so when it finished Rebooting it came up in AP Mode. (WLED-AP)
These are the steps i did:
Backed up Config
Upgraded to WLED_0.15.1_ESP8266.bin.gz
Rebooted on its own
Came Back as WLED-AP
Clicked WiFi
Joined my WiFi and it came back on My Browser
WLED version 0.15.1
Restored Config
I Changed the AP SSID back to what it was originally
So i Know which open it is if something happens
We tested it and there is no problem. Please make sure your firmware is correct. The link below is the factory default firmware.
